To build an income in network marketing you need to build a team of customers and distributors. There are many different companies and ways that each will pay, but in general they are all similar in concept.
You earn a commission based on the product sales of your team/organization. So your income is directly proportioned to the size of your team and customer base. You start by referring a few people, and they in turn can also refer others, and you earn commissions on those sales, even the ones you didn’t personally refer. This is the main difference between network marketing and affiliate marketing.
With affiliate marketing, you generally only get paid on your own efforts, so it’s 100% up to you to be a marketing rockstar to earn a significant income. Whereas with network marketing you can earn a significant income based off the combined efforts and skills of many people, not just yourself.

In my opinion network marketin and a job are two totally different things, and you should know the difference so you can make a decision as to which is best for you.

You have to do what your told
You have to work when they tell you
You have to ask for time off, and you only get so much per year.
Someone has to quit, get fired, or die for you to get promoted

Pros Of Network Marketing
You can work when you want, total time freedom.
You can take time off whenever you want, and for as long as you want.
To make more money, you just have to build a bigger network.
Anyone can do this, no matter what level of education.
It’s super low start up cost when compared to a typical store front business.
No one can tell you what to do, or when to do it, you’re the boss.
You’ll meet people who LOVE what they do, instead of people who just complain about their job all day, or at the bar on weekends.
Cons Of Network Marketing
No guaranteed income when you start, it’s up to you to build your team of customers and reps.
In a nutshell, to work a job you need to be someone who is ok with being told what to do and when to do it. To be in network marketing you need to be self motivated and understand it could take time to build up your income.
